Who we are
IQ Option Verdict Desk exists to answer one narrow question well: is IQ Option a scam, or a legitimate broker? It is published by Verdict Desk Media, an independent editorial desk. We are not IQ Option, we are not owned by IQ Option, and nothing on this site is written or approved by the company.
Who writes here
The desk is edited by Rhiannon Beckworth, Trust and Verification Editor. Her background is in documentary verification rather than trading: reading regulator registers, enforcement decisions and complaint records, and working out what they actually prove. Every page on this site is written or reviewed against that standard.
How we decide what is true
Trust questions attract two kinds of bad writing — the affiliate page that praises everything, and the outrage page that calls every broker a criminal. We try to do neither. Our method is deliberately narrow:
- Primary records first. Licence status comes from the regulator's own public register. Enforcement history comes from the regulator's own published decisions, cited with their dates.
- Complaints are read as patterns, not as verdicts. A public complaint tells you what a person experienced and what they believed caused it. Those are different things, and we separate them.
- Volatile numbers get sent back to the source. Minimum deposits, fees, payout percentages and processing times change without notice. Where we cannot verify a current figure, we describe the rule instead of inventing a number, and point you at the operator's own pages.
- What we cannot check, we say we cannot check. A hedge is more useful to you than a confident guess.
What we do not do
We have not opened a live account, deposited money, placed trades or requested a withdrawal, and we do not publish figures that would require us to have done so. There is no "our test account" here, no execution benchmark, no measured payout speed. This is a documentary review desk: our value is in reading the record carefully, not in claiming experiences we have not had.
We also do not tell you what to do with your money. Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing the amount you put in, and a broker being properly licensed does not change that arithmetic.
Corrections
If something here is out of date, imprecise, or plainly wrong, we would rather hear it than not. Email [email protected] with the page and, where you can, the source that contradicts us. We correct on the page rather than quietly deleting.
How this site is funded
Some links on this site may be commercial. That relationship never buys a verdict, and it never removes an inconvenient fact — the enforcement record and the jurisdictional gaps stay on the page regardless. The full arrangement is set out in our partner disclosure.
